Skoochy —
By the time I was your age, I was already a master waterbender and pretty good at earthbending, too. I don’t like to brag, but I bet I could kick your butt with my hands tied behind my back and blindfolded.
So I wanna see what you can do.
If you win, I’ll get you dinner for a week. If I win, you have to come to Air Temple Island and stand in for me so I can sneak off while everyone’s meditating.
Meet me outside the gym tomorrow right before lunch. Oh, and don’t even think about getting Bolin to help you, either.
— Korra
[[c3< and <3< Shhh they are awesome symbols shut up.]]
[ I can’t think of a good death one since their relationship hasn’t developed yet (other than Korra being sad, or feeling the sad off the brothers), BUT HEADCANON HERE WE COME. Also, I got a little sappy OOPS. ]
Korra has never needed money. Everything has always fallen into place, like tiles of a pai sho set playing out her much greater destiny.
So the first time that thankful citizen shoves a bill into her hand and tells her to ‘enjoy the city’ in their gratitude, she isn’t sure what to do.
The paper feels funny. Like it’s loaded, weighted, except there’s nothing that makes it more valuable than the next scrap of parchment save some man’s word once upon a time that it would be so. She crinkles it in her fingers as if she can unlock its secrets—and in doing so realizes just what she should do with it.
She watches people drop coins in the fountain, wondering if they know the ‘value’ of what they’re throwing away. These aren’t pebbles sinking to the bottom of the crystal clear water, they’re gemstones.
Or at least, that’s what she read in the eyes of a young vagabond once.
She finds him quite easily, considering. It’s his hat; it’s distinct and she remembers it even for how frantic that search was to find Bolin. And when she presses her first and only yuans into Skoochy’s hand, she makes up a fairly catchy story about needing some ‘help’ figuring out whether Bolin’s favorite dumplings really are as good as he claims, only she doesn’t know where to find them…
Whether for her sake or not, he plays along—and it’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Skoochy had broken the cardinal rule.

what would you think if you found jinora and skoochy kising? and would you tell tenzin?
The thought was inconceivable. Not that they would be kissing, although she wasn’t even sure that they’d ever met. (Doubtful.) But…
That Jinora would get kissed before her??

“Aren’t they… a little young?” Not to mention, Jinora didn’t seem very interested in boys—and rightfully so!
As for whether she’d tell Tenzin, well, that just depended on the circumstances.
